Masters Flooring got its start in Windsor in 2008, doing strictly commercial flooring projects. Rick Owen and Steve Hall established Masters and built an opportunity out of necessity. After a few years of success, they saw an opportunity to become a full-service flooring company and purchased Petersen’s from Jim Petersen in 2012. This provided a retail offering from a 50-year pillar of the flooring community in northern Colorado.
